Week Ahead

Another big week on Wall Street coming up. Earnings, once more, will be the name of the game. We're seeing a lot of investor fickleness, as holders are dumping shares right after the news hits the tape. Keep in mind that
Of the first 117 companies in the Standard & Poor's 500 to report earnings, more have missed expectations on earnings and revenue than at the same time last year.
Among the companies reporting numbers this week are Merck, JNJ, Merril, McD's, and that company that taps my wallet every morning at 7:30 AM, Starbucks. This week won't be as sexy as next week when the Fed meets on Feb 1st to raise rates once more.
