Peeking Inside a Billionare's Portfolio

Seasoned investor and current Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban recently revealed on his own blog some of the stocks he is holding. Not everyday you get to tap into a billionare's portfolio, so here we go.
With all the discussion on the blog about Naked Shorting, much of which was more like a spy novella than a market discussion, I have gotten too many emails asking what my positions in the market are.

Longs

LGF - The only indie film library available, willing to leverage new media for revenue

RENT - Only independent source advertisers can use for tracking Video on Demand and Online Video on Demand

NSIT - Good company I have owned pretty much since they came public

SIGM - Chipset powers High Definition playback devices that allow for connection of USB hard drives and supports leading High Def codecs

GRU - Lots of traffic, that if they can monetize and keep costs very low could lead to nice cash flow

TCOW.OB - Good management, low PE, sells to growing market segment.
I remember the day everyone on the street heard he had been buying into mamma.com--the stock immediately popped. Evidently, he is still into search technology, because GRU is on his list (italicized). GRU is GuruNet is Answers.com, a nifty site/service I use every other day to feed my curiosity fix. Check it out -- I tried to convince my parents to pick up at least 1000 shares of GRU based on a risk reward I thought was justified at the time. In February, Catablast! checked out Answers.com for the first time and here is what we said:
I finally checked out Answer.com and frankly, I'm blown away. It's clean layout makes info-finding more fun than Friday night poker. From estorica to everyday matters, the site has something to say on everything...
One critic called answers.com the next Google, which i thought was a bit too much.
Could the next Google be found in Jerusalem, Israel? Are you tired of search products that return a long list of websites that may or may not be related to the query term? GuruNet's search engine avoids the typical hyperlink list with narrative responses -- it even provides tabs for other related information that comes formatted as charts, graphs, and maps.
All in all, Answers.com is the newest, most radical instant response approach to internet search. Keep on eye on them...
