Google Blogger Canned

Google's famously principled founders, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, have always proclaimed that their company aimed to "provide unbiased, accurate and free access to information" and DO NO EVIL. But apparently that mantra excludes the free speech doctrine.
Mark Jen, an associate product manager, said he was fired this month after posting negative comments on his blog, 99zeros.blogspot.com, about Google's employee benefits. On the blog, he wrote that the health plan at Microsoft, where he had worked earlier, put Google's to shame. He added that some Google perks, like free meals and on-site doctors, are "thinly veiled timesavers to keep you at work." Mr. Jen wrote on his blog that he had no hard feelings and called the event a valuable learning experience.
